Northern California Calm

From Sunrise to midmorning, these shots were taken after the flooding in some of the Sonoma County area. Just wanted to show the tranquility and beauty of what comes after a storm. Not all is Bad.

If shot in color these photos would have looked nice, but I enjoy the intesity of Black and White. I seem to notice more beauty in the images and nature tends to have a whole different feeling to me.

the last two are incredibly powerful ... i have a soft spot for black and white and these make me itch to get out with my film camera and some tri-x film ...

I wish I'd been awake for the sunrise - it's beautiful even in black & white.

Guess what? I've given you an award. I couldn't hand out awards to so many people without breaking the rules and adding you. (It's supposed to be ten, I made it twelve.) You make my day. Every day. xoxo

I love the second picture in this group most of all. The way you took this one - the composition and angle - is great. I feel like I am there and not looking at a photo.
